Matteo Berrettini Eltern is a professional tennis player from Italy. He reached a career high ATP singles ranking of No. 8 on November 4, 2019, and a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 105 on July 22, 2019.At the 2021 Queens Club Championships, he won his first ATP 500-level event. After receiving a wildcard in the pre-qualifying wildcard round, Berrettini made his ATP main draw debut at the Italian Open. In the first round, he was defeated by Fabio Fognini. He was the top seed in an eight-man Italian field competing for a berth in the first Next Generation ATP Finals in Milan, however he was defeated in straight sets by Filippo Baldi.
