The opportunity to attend the Paralympics is the ultimate dream come true for the passionate athlete. Although Merle is still too young to compete in the Paralympics in Tokyo 2020, she would travel to Japan with the Paralympic Youth Camp in order to be as close to the action as possible. Merles’ motivation will not be diminished by the fact that this sporting highlight has been missed. They plan to continue working on themselves, improving their times, and eventually competing in the Paralympic Games on the Tartanbahn. To compete in races as part of the European and World Championships has been something she has planned for quite some time now.
